1. BringFido.com
BringFido is a great website that details dog friendly events and destinations. Thinking about taking your dog on vacation with you and need a pet friendly hotel? BringFido is a wonderful resource for pet friendly travel destinations including pet friendly hotels, restaurants, parks and more! Have a free weekend and want to find an event in your area that your dog can enjoy too? BringFido gives dog friendly events. The website has a section you can look for pet services such as doggie daycares, groomers, pet bakeries, and stores that carry supplies for pets. Under the activities section on the website, you will find pet friendly beaches, hiking trails, dog parks and other activities you can do with your dog. The website is pretty user friendly. It tells a little about each of the places and services and even includes reviews! www.bringfido.com
2. Dogster.com
Dogster.com is the online version of the Dogster magazine. You will find information on dog health and care, dog food, dog training, A-Z dog breeds and more! The website updates with new articles on information important to dog owners. The articles are informative and easy to read. There is a section on recommended books to read also, and information on ordering the Dogster magazine. Dogster is your overall dog information website! www.dogster.com
3. Barkbox.com
If you know many dog owners, you probably know someone who subscribes to Bark Box. A Bark Box is a monthly subscription that comes to your home and features toys, treats and chews for your dog. There are various customization you can do to make bark box fit your dog's likes and personality. For example, there is a super chewer box for tough chewers, a dental oriented kit with tooth friendly products, and even a meal plan subscription. Chewy is a giant on-line pet store. They are well known for their excellent customer service and their wide variety of pet products. They give owners the option to put in their pet's info and even a picture and then send recommendations that your pet might like. They have been known to send hand drawn pet photos to their customers as well as condolence cards when a pet passes away. Their return policy is excellent if you don't like a product. They have an autoship option that is convenient for those products that your pet uses regularly such as food, treats and even medications! Their autoship gives a discount over the regular price and shipping is free for orders over $49. Chewy is a great online pet shopping option. www.chewy.com
5. Rover.com
If you are looking for a pet sitter or dog walker, Rover is a wonderful website to check out. You can select the service you are looking for, the dates you need the service and what size dog you have and Rover will give you a list of pet sitters in your area. You can see reviews on the pet sitter, information on their pet sitting experience and what they charge. Rover offers reservation protection through their website, which means if the pet sitter cancels on you you receive a full refund as well as a $20 credit. Rover also background checks their pet sitters and also offers the "Rover guarantee". The Rover Guarentee is a reimbursement program intended to protect pets. Rover will reimburse costs over $250 for vet care or to cover damage to a pet care provider's property. By using Rover to find pet sitting services you will have some peace of mind and a variety of care providers to choose from.
There is no shortage of information you can find on the internet. These websites, and many others, can provide lots of information to make dog ownership easier.
